Kryptokompis calculates gains, losses, income and wealth from your crypto transactions using the Norwegian rules as Kryptokompis interprets them (see the ruleset in every report). It is a calculation tool, not tax or legal advice.

You are responsible for your tax return. Check the figures before you enter them, keep the report and the CSV files as documentation, and ask Skatteetaten or an accountant if you are unsure how a rule applies to you.

The result is only as complete as your data. Transactions Kryptokompis cannot see - other exchanges, wallets, or history an exchange no longer provides - must be imported, or the result will be wrong. Kryptokompis shows a status and checks to help you find gaps, but it cannot find what it was never given.

Your data stays on this computer. API keys are stored in the operating system's credential store and are used read-only. Kryptokompis contacts exchanges with your keys, public price and exchange-rate sources, and the Kryptokompis website to check for updates. Feedback you write in the app is sent to the maker (with your licence id and app version) only when you press Send; no transaction data is sent.

Beta: a beta licence costs 99 NOK once and never expires. It covers the basic version of Kryptokompis with its updates and new exchanges. Larger new features may later come as a separate premium option. Questions, help and feedback go through our Discord server (https://discord.gg/hnAGgsAQ5V).

Kryptokompis is provided as is, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, the maker is not liable for tax, interest, penalties or other losses resulting from its use.
